Chin Up Bars Offers A Complete Upper Body Workout
It is a myth that you need to make a lot of complicated moves in order to shape up your body. A chin up bar is the perfect home exercising equipment which can help you develop your body muscles and attain a well toned body without the use of many complicated equipments and exercises.
With a simple chin up bar installed over your door frame, you can perform such effective chin up exercises that can help you reshape your body and improve your core strength. By incorporating different variations in the chin up exercises, you can work your body from different angles and attain maximum benefits.
A chin-up bar is invariably a smooth surfaced horizontal metal bar, generally a cylindrical structure, held tightly above the floor by either a wooden or metal frame. Its installation normally consists of 2 or 3 different heights of bars based on the heights of users.
In its common usage, a person jumps up slightly to grab the bar in both hands so that the palms are facing away and the feet hang freely in the air. The exerciser then pulls himself up to where his chin passes the top of the bar, slowly lowers himself to hanging by his arms, and repeats as many times as possible. This is commonly referred to as a pull-up exercise.
The chin up bar was formerly the playground equipment that was once commonly found at children’s playgrounds. Today, they are equally important in a gym or a physical fitness center. The chin-up can also be performed using an inverse grip, where the palms of the hands are facing the participant.
This type of exercise normally puts emphasis on the intercostals and the biceps whereas the conventional grip is more of an upper-back workout. Other forms of chin-ups are usually made by gripping with a few fingers of one hand in order to enhance resistance on the other arm. Such form of exercise should be balanced evenly on both arms. One-armed chin-ups are also conducted but are known to be extremely difficult.
