Moms are the typical ones that search for work at home jobs. Women have traditionally stayed home with the kids, taken care of the house, and cooked the meals. The have been the ones that wanted to branch out a little and make some money on the side while they were at home. Lately though, things have started to change a little.

More and more men are out of work now because of the bad economy. If their wives have a job, their rolls have been reversed with the husband staying home and taking care of the house and kids. This means that more men than ever are going online and looking for ways to make money on the Internet.

Making money on the Internet is different from a work at home job. One of the most common ways to make money is to try to get paid for surveys at one of the hundreds of survey sites. You can make money that way but it is hard to make enough to really pay the bills. That type of website is good for pocket money at best.

When guys go online to look for ways to make money, they have the exact same trouble as women do: trying to figure out how to get started doing something legitimate that will really make money. Of course there are literally thousands of “systems” and sales pages all claiming that they have the secret but 99% of them are either scams or just fluff.

None of the things you find online are really work from home jobs. If you want one of those, you have to make one yourself. In other words, you have to build your own business from the ground up. The Internet is a great place to do that and it would be my first choice as a place to get started. However, it will take you a lot of time to learn how to successfully start a home business and you should not expect results too quickly. Like anything that is difficult, only those that work the hardest will be the ones that come out on top.
