Tennis Elbow: Using Ice
If you are suffering from an arm injury like tennis elbow, one of the worst things that you will experience is of course, the relentless pain. You see, whenever a muscle or a tendon gets torn and damaged, it will almost instantaneously begin to swell up and get inflamed. If you want to make use of ice therapy so you could cure tennis elbow, here are some tips that you will surely find valuable.
1.) Apply the ice pack directly along the outside (lateral) part of the elbow. Keep it there for about fifteen to twenty minutes. If in case you do not have or own an ice pack, you can make use of a clean cotton cloth, plastic bag or frozen bag of vegetables. Remember, you must never directly apply ice on your bare skin because doing so might aggravate your condition further.
2.) Make it a point as well to elevate your arm at heart level while you apply the ice pack. This will help hasten the reduction of the inflammation along your arm.
3.) After removing the ice pack, make sure that you wipe your elbow clean and continue keeping it elevated.
4.) Continue using this approach for as long as there is inflammation present.
