The ABC’s of Guitar Playing

There are a lot of ways in which a person can learn how to play a guitar. One is through a personal guitar lessons in Glasgow where you will spend an amount just to learn. The other is by learning it on your own. The latter instance is quite difficult considering that it is just your first time to play or guitar, much more hold it. However, there are many options on how to do it on your own.

First and foremost, before ever dreaming of becoming a world class guitar player, there are some basic knowledge that one has to remember, in short, the ABC’s of guitar playing. In a nutshell, there are three primary requisites that one has to obtain in order to start learning. First on the list is a comfortable guitar. When we say comfortable, it means that your hand must not hurt when you practice playing the guitar. As such, it is advised that one buys or borrows a guitar with strings made of nylon instead of steel.

Second on the list is an accurate guitar chord chart. For beginners, it is advised that when buying a guitar chord chart, there must be a diagram which shows the position of the hand and the fingers. Reading the chord chart alone will not help you for the simple reason that you don’t have any idea how to use. Third on the list is a strumming guide. A strumming guide is available in music stores or even on the internet. This will help you to familiarize yourself on the possible strokes on the strings of a guitar.

Now that you know the ABC’s of playing a guitar, it is now easier to get started. However, this does not mean that you can play well already. Aside from your requisite paraphernalia, you may also opt to buy an instructional video or just watch everything on the internet. After all, playing a guitar is all about application and not just reading a manual and memorizing it.

Finally, always be reminded that playing a guitar cannot be achieved in just one try. Practice is needed to perfect this talent.
