Things to Know about Stainless Steel Juicers

One of the best appliances that you can have in your home is a juicer. Although most people don’t even consider getting one, they actually work wonders. There are few things in life that are better than picking a nice glass of juice that you just made yourself. You can toss in all kinds of things like carrots, apples, leafy vegetables, or even wheatgrass, and the choose will come out the other side. There are a few different types of juicers, but most of them are either made out of plastic or stainless steel.

Most people choose plastic juicers, because they usually cost less. Although many of these work great, there are some very good benefits to getting stainless steel juicers. One thing that is so good about these metal juicers is that the parts inside them are a lot easier to clean. Stainless steel is well known for its ability to keep clean and sanitary. That is why they use it for things like forks and spoons, and commercial kitchen counters. You should know that even though the outside of a juicer may be plastic, the inside parts of a good one are usually made out of stainless steel. The outside of the juicer doesn’t actually matter that much. It is the moving parts inside that you need to be concerned about.

In addition to the ability to keep clean, stainless steel juicers have another benefit. One thing that makes them so good is that they will last a very long time. Eventually, plastic will wear out and either crack or break. Stainless steel, on the other hand will never do this. It is not uncommon for people to have stainless steel juicers that list a decade or more. Having said that, the motor inside is going to be the thing that breaks first in most cases.  As a final note, you should be aware that many people think it is a hassle to clean the juicer frequently.  For this reason, it makes sense to juice enough to last for the entire day.  You can store some in the fridge at home, or bring some to work and put it in the bar refrigerator to enjoy as an afternoon thirst quencher.
