As a nail technician, you would think your work would be pretty straight forward right?  You do nails. well it is not really that simple actually.  Nail technician jobs can vary quite a bit from salon to salon, and even for one nail technician from day to day.

Nail technician jobs also involve beauty and fashion.  Some nail technicians work only with models and artists.  High fashion magazines and photographers will employ nail technicians that specialize in extreme nail art to make their models hands and feet beautiful and exciting.  This is one of those sometimes subtle beauty specialties that not everyone notices or thinks about.

Nail technicians are also sensitization specialists if they are doing their job correctly.  Every day nail tech’s are working with multiple different people and must keep their tools and their space free from germs or anything that might cause harm or infection.

On top of all this, independent nail technicians also have to be marketing specialists in keeping up with their clients.
