Why Gas Powered Scooters Are Popular Among Young Adults
The Web site Gas Powered Scooter Review says that gas powered scooters are becoming an increasingly popular form of alternative transportation. It’s hard to argue with this. In fact, it’s easy to see that young adults are turning more frequently to gas powered scooters to get to and from work and to run quick errands.
The reasons are many: First, gas powered scooters are more environmentally friendly than are cars. They give off about one-tenth the amount of emissions as does the typical family car. Secondly, gas powered scooters are extremely fuel efficient. You won’t be spending all your time at the gas station. Finally, gas powered scooters are a lot of fun. Today’s top scooters can reach speeds of 60 MPH and higher. Given all this, it’s no surprise that gas powered scooters are so popular today.
We may find it unusual in the United States to see people commuting to and from work on gas powered scooters. But motorized scooters are actually quite popular vehicles in other parts of the world. In countries such as Spain, Italy, Austria and Germany, it’s not at all uncommon to see people buzzing to their jobs on gas powered scooters. And why not? These scooters can reach speeds of 60 miles-an-hour or more, and they get great gas mileage. Because they give off fewer emissions, they’re more environmentally friendly, too. It’s good to see that these scooters are becoming increasingly more popular here in the United States, too. Gas powered scooters are a great way for all of us to do our part to protect the Earth.
It’s easy to take gas powered scooters for granted today. They’re all over the roads. But scooters didn’t make the jump from kiddie toy to alternative form of transportation until 1985. That’s when the first Go-Ped was created by Steve Patmont and his two sons, Gabe and Tim. The Go-Ped was the first gas powered scooter, and the Patmonts built them in their garage in California. Before long, demand grew. Today, Patmont Motor Werks and Go-Peds remain giants in the industry. A lot has changed since those first Go-Peds hit the streets, though.
